When our grandparents came to the area for their honeymoon in 1942, they were so enamoured by the mountains that they made themselves a promise to return and spend their holidays in Chamonix. For years, they and their five children spent their summer breaks in a rented traditional chalet in the little village of Tines up the valley. Later, every month of July for 10 years, our grandparents would rent a chalet at the Frasserands, in Montroc le Planet, and take in their 15 grand-children, giving their own children some well-deserved time off. During those summers we would sample the thrills of spending a night in a mountain hut, enjoying picnics on the banks of wild rivers. But more importantly through the many hikes in the mountains, we came to understand the importance of solidarity and mutual support. As the years have gone by, the family has grown and our connection to the valley has never wavered. In 1986, Clos des Vernes chalet was built, followed 25 years later by the four Chalets des Liarets.
Our philosophy: To perpetuate the tradition, to share the passion we have for the mountains, and to help guests discover the many facets of Chamonix.
